Michael Curgenven
Contemporary Artist
Biography
Michael was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire. As a child Michael could constantly be found with a sketch book and pencil in his hands, a love of drawing which he maintains to this day. After leaving school he continued his love of art by starting work as a trainee artist for an advertising agency whilst also attending Leeds school of Art. After a break of several years during which he worked as a professional musician he resumed his interest in art and attended Swarthmore College, where he studied painting and life drawing for three years under the tutelage of Mary Lord. He is married with two children and currently lives in the Holme Valley, West Yorkshire. He is an exhibiting member of Leeds Fine Artists.
